About MillRate USA

Property tax rates are public, but they're scattered across state reports, county sites and PDF tables. Most sites that summarize them give one average for a whole county, which can be far from what any one town pays.

MillRate USA puts each town's published rate on its own page, with its history and a link to the original source. We start with states whose governments publish every town's rate, and add more as we verify their files.

We're an independent site. We aren't affiliated with any government, assessor or tax appeal company, and we don't sell property data.

MillRate USA is not affiliated with millrate.com, a separate property tax site with a similar name.
