How to read these rankings
Texas cities set their own rate, and your bill adds the county, school district and any special districts on top. These rankings compare the cities' own rates only, so they show how city taxes differ, not total bills.
The rankings cover the 249 cities with at least 10,000 residents, using Census Bureau population estimates for 2025. The middle rate among them is 0.527524 per $100. Stafford has a published rate of zero and is left out.
