Vigo County, Indiana · 2026 rates
2.421per $100 of assessed value
1 tax area · 6 taxing units each
An Indiana property is taxed by every unit its tax district covers: the county, the township, the city or town if it's in one, the school corporation, the library and any special districts. All of Sugar Creek Township shares the same combination.
Your tax bill, or your county's appraisal or assessment office, lists the units for your property.
Medians are of the lowest combined rate in each place, across 16 places in Vigo County. Percent changes compare two published rates; a rate change isn't the same as a bill change, because values change too.

Rates are shown exactly as published. Where the state doesn't publish a combined total, the combined figure is the sum of the published unit rates and is labelled that way. Spotted an error? Email [email protected].
One email when new rates are out, and one before the appeal deadline. Nothing else.
